Do you like the city/town/village etc you live in?
What do you like or dislike about it?
meh...its cute, its quaint, its life and its the only place we have, so it is what it is.
My hometown that I was born and raised in Alpena MI on Lake Huron is a nice place to visit just for a weekend but I HATE living there too boring and everything closes too early and not enough to see and do for me and hardly any diversity at all. We recently had to live there for 5 mos and it was painfully BORINGGGGG! We went stir crazy and craved moving down to mid -downstate MI as soon as possible.
5 mos ago we moved into a wonderful apt in a city we LOVE in NorthEast Michigan. Its called Farmington Hills and actually the surrounding citites that run right into it Novi, Livonia, etc etc all just make it feel like they are part of farmington hills too, so it all feels like one big city. We crazy love it here. It's upper class income mostly here so we were worried people might be snooty but so far everywhere we go everyone is soooo nice! THere's sooo much diversity, lots of middle eastern and also african american, asian, hispanic and white etc and being surrounded by so much culture and diversity makes me happier and feel more alive for some reason. There are so many places to go and restaurants and unique stores etc etc etc that even if I live here the rest of my life I still wont know them all, there's just so many. We also love that the community always has things going on, we went to an iceskating show and a live animals show and several art festivals and two free concerts in the park (beatles band and 60s band) Also its low crime. I hope I can live here the rest of our lives
I miss my true hometown, of Tullahoma, TN, but I moved to East Grand Rapids, MI (The city that East Great Falls in American Pie was based on, lolz!) when I turned 18. I have lived in the Grand Rapids area and suburbs ever since, so for the past 11 years, almost 12. I love the city, but obviously a very FEW areas should be avoided. And not even like they should be in places like Saginaw, Flint, Detroit, etc. Our general region, South Western Michigan, and the Lakeshore area, are drastically lower in crime and such than the East side of the state. Currently, I live in Grandville, a suburban city right between city and country. The school system is incredible, and it's an affluent, involved community. I do look forward to owning more land, and buying a house on the true outskirts, a bit more spacious and such, but for being a "city", Grandville is everything I could ask.
Quoting snuggiewoogie: I was born and raised here in Maryland and If I don't get to the beach soon I'm gonna go balistic!! There is way too much traffic, crime around here is picking up and overall I think I change would be good for us :)

Quoting laylolilah:Dislike. I'm from New Orleans and I now live in a rather rural area in Pennsylvania. So different, I miss food, entertainment, people. I guess its great for people who don't like a city atmosphere, but I do.
I love where I live. It is a small town and all of my family live in a 10 mile radius of each other. My child is safe playing around here and there isn't drama and a lot of crazy people. I know everyone and every business is like home.
I dislike that it doesn't have as much for the kids growing up here and other places. We have to drive to the city for bigger entertainment. ( I don't really care that much , it's just the only bad thing I could think of lol)
It has it's faults (one being the beach is a 1/2 a day away), but I love it here... it's home.
We love the area, not so much the city living and all the people. We are thankful as living in the capital city of Idaho it has a LOT less people than other major cities. :)
Love my town. I would love a tiny, tiny town though. I would NEVER live in a big city.
