Yes but it has of course changed with the times. I think people are so much more money hungry than they were years ago.

People were always materialistic, it's just that now there are millions more than years past, for every 1 job abailable there are a thousand qualified people to fill it, American companies need to stop outsourcing for tax loopholes (Hello Mitt) and pay American's decent wages.
lol I used to think it was equality and that everyone had a chance or a second chance...and because that is what I thought it was...I say no, because no one wants to give anyone a chance anymore, and thats not the way it should be. Lets give hard working people lay offs or find reasons to fire them so we can hire people that don't pay taxes amongst other things. The whole reason I think the american dream is no longer alive is because I think america is not really american anymore.
