I always use liquid. DON'T use Tide powder, unless you want clogged drains. My husband has been a master plumber for 23 years. Almost all septic clogs he needs to clear are roots or powdered laundry detergent. He always asks what brand laundry detergent the costumers use, when that is the culprit. It is ALWAYS Tide.
