My daughter is 14 months old and is starting to test and hit and yell at my husband and I. Is she old enough for time out?? If not what are other ways of disciplining her without spanking?

dd  is 9 months and weve already started time out for certain things like playing with cords and stuff like that we tell her no and move her three times if she deose it again we put her in our lap turn off the tv and she has to just sit for a min and no playing or anything ( for ur dd should be 1 min) ( its supposed to be 1 min per year) i hope this helps but ide say go ahead and start now i already did in hopes terrible 2s wont be so terrible lol gl

np ;) and the time out seems to work with her pretty well and they will test and push u and when they do u gotta stick to it after time out if she deose it again she goes right back into timeout so far its working :)

No time-outs or spanking.
Simply say "no" and redirect.

My son is 13 months and when he gets mean, like bites, I tap his mouth and walk away. That usually makes him stop.

Give him something else to focus on like a toy or cartoons.
