We actually lit our own. We went up to NE to stay with my ILs for the week and they live on 10 acres of land. And all his family donated to the "fireworks fund" and we ended up getting about $150 worth of fireworks! Our show lasted about 45 minutes long - not counting the sparklers and smoke bombs we did when it was light out :)

We were in Canada over the 4th so we didn't see any fireworks...we did a few of our own (little tiny ones) before we left for Canada and our daughter was scared of them so I didn't mind not seeing any this year.

We watched from my mil pool. It was just what others had purchased and set off but it was good enough for my son. Next year we will do the big shows.
