I am going to give you a random ingredient and I want you to tell me how you would use it...include a recipe if you want.




Venison.

I'd take the loin, cut it into 1/2 inch thick medallions.

Make a reduction of beef broth.  Add about 1/3 to 1/2 c. red wine, simmer about 15 minutes.  Add one can whole berry cranberry sauce and 1 - 2 Tbsp. butter.  Whisk over heat until smooth.

Season the venison with salt and pepper.  Brown on both sides in butter, about 3 to 4 minutes on each side. 

Ladle sauce onto a plate.  Arrange 2 - 4 medallions on the sauce.

I don't have the recipe, but one of my neighbors made venison sliders that were really good (and I don't usually like venison).

It depends on what kind of cut you're talking about.
I would grind it up and add a bit of seasoning and make meatballs or hamburgers!
