Going to the beach tomorrow and eating at our favorite restaurant there.
They have fresh oysters and I can not wait to have a dozen... Yes a dozen to my face. I can taste them now the salty brine and all!

Have fun! I don't think I could eat oysters. My husband accidentally ordered oysters the last time we went out for date night. LOL!

I ordered half a dozen sampler to try 6 different kinds first.
I loved the blue point from Connecticut so I ordered another half dozen of those!

Quoting SweetLuci:

I love raw oysters, and they taste different depending on where they're harvester from. My favorites are from Apalachicola Bay in Florida's panhandle and from Louisiana.

I remember eating them as a child too.
Actually after eating one I came up really sick and ended up with Juvienille rheumatoid arthritis and the doctors think that I had a low immune system and eating the raw oysters didn't help.
Anyways yes this was part of the getaway!
It was very cold but really nice!

I don't know that I've tried oysters as an adult but my dad says I loved them as a young kid.  The beach sounds wonderful-is that part of the getaway your husband planned?

No. He told the waitress he didn't order them and she took them back.

Glad you had a good time!  Do you still have any effects of the JRA?
