They say we become our mothers. Have you in the kitchen?

Do you cook similar meals as what you ate growing up? Why or why not?

We lived with my grandmother growing up and she did all the cooking, so I learned to cook from scratch like Grandma.

Not really, my mom has to follow a recipe exactly, and only makes about 10 different dishes.Frankferter skillet supper, tatortot casserole, chicken and rice..etc. She's an awesome baker though.

I cook like my dad, He can make anything and everything from scratch.

I don't remember my mom doing too much cooking. My dad cooked more from what I remember. She was never much of a cook, so no I don't cook like her.

Um. No offense mom, but I think I cook better!

My mom is a great cook, but she doesn't have too much of a variation. She can make anything, but tends to stick with hispanic foods. I married a white guy and WOW. My world opened up! His mom/grandma taught me a lot. Pot roast, shepards pie, potato salad...all stuff I hadn't made before.

In a week I might make enchiladas, pot roast, spaghetti, picadillo (cuban), and grilled chicken salads. I feel like there is a LOT of variety in our home
