I made these this week and the family loved them! I think I may try adding dill next time, or any other herb.
Savory Paleo Crackers
- 2 c. almond meal/flour
- 3 Tbsp. dried flaked onions or 1 Tbsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 egg
Mix dry ingredients together. Add oil and egg and mix until moist, may need to use your hands to get a good mix. Lay a piece of parchment or waxed paper on a large cookie sheet. Form dough into a ball and place on parchment paper; flatten slightly. Place another piece of parchment or waxed paper over top of the dough and carefully use a rolling pin to flatten the dough to 1/8", trying to keep edges uniform. Remove top layer of parchment/waxed paper. Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into desired size of crackers. Bake in 250° for 40 to 60 minutes, until crackers reach desired crispness. Let cool before removing crackers on parchment/waxed paper to counter; remove crackers from paper (peel the paper and put a light pressure on the crackers to break them at the cutting lines.)
These are all that were left of my first batch, after the family found them...we ate them with chicken salad for our lunch.
