When you have a plan, there's no stress on what am I going to make, at the last minute, which then often leads to something quick and less healthy, and then later you find something in the refrigerator that's past it's prime, or completely ruined because you forgot to use it. or ending up at the end of the week with n othing you want to make because nothing goes together. It's a mind freeing and stress-free way to live. It helps your budget as well.
