With as many hours my husband and his crew are working this outage they have been taking turns with providing dinner. They are working 13 hours a day with okay 1 day off a week and going on 5 weeks now with 2 weeks left.
Anyways, I am stumped on what to make them this week. I've made crab cakes, lasagna, sloppy joes, and 2 soups. The other wives or guys have made roast, chicken parm, casseroles, stuffed shells, chicken lot pie, chicken BBQ, BBQ, steaks, and gumbo.
This dish has to be able to reheat beautifully and needs to be able to be carried in 1 dish.
Any ideas? They are getting tired of the same ole things.
They have also had subs and pizza.

Looks like a spiral ham should be next. Otherwise one of those guys is going to have to share some deer!

A ham is perfect idea!
I can send in rolls and do a side dish. Great idea!

Ham sounds great! What about shepards pie?

I have an 11x14 baking pan which would be about the right size. Maybe they would go for a 3 meat - 7 layer salad served with flat bread.

What about a taco bar? Send in the ingredients and they can make their own. I would use a dish for the meat and toppings in plastic baggies.

Or make burritos ahead of time and they can reheat them.

I don't know where the sunbeams end and the starlights begin; it's all a mystery.

I second the chili idea...with cinnamon rolls!

A turkey, then make turkey pies, chili, pulled pork then just send the meat and rolls, meatloaf with potatoes

When my DH and his buddies go out west hunting, I make all of the meals ahead of time in a nesco...you've named many of the things that I send along.  A couple others: beef stew, and boiled dinner (ham, potatoes, carrots, and cabbage all cooked together).

Meatloaf has not been done yet.
Maybe I will do that with gravy and a baked mashed potato dish with veggie!
