Cinnamon-Apple Grilled Cheese

 Cinnamon-Apple Grilled Cheese
These sandwiches are great for breakfast or lunch, or even as a snack. To intensify the cinnamon flavor, try using cinnamon raisin bread instead of raisin bread. —Deborah Puette, Lilburn, Georgia

  • 1 cup sliced peeled tart apple
  • 3 teaspoons butter, softened, divided

While I love Muesnter cheese, I think I'd leave it off this sandwich.  Interesting idea though!

Mmmmmm, except I'm allergic to walnuts. Would hazelnuts work? Or are they too sweet?

I'm not sure, but thank you for the recipe. I know that Dad always liked cheese on his apple pie, so maybe it is a really good taste.

I'm sure you could use other types of nuts.  Pecans may be good if you aren't allergic to them.

I like to try different grilled cheese ideas; this is new to me, it would be like dessert.
