DH's family does a progressive dinner for Christmas.  His 2 brothers and dad live next foor to and across the street from each other, so we go there.  We've learned to take on appetizer duty because they are always late and since we have an hour drive to get there, we're usually more than ready to eat when we arrive.  By bringing the appetizer we can start w/o them!  We were talking last night about what to take and haven't come to any conclusions yet.  As for what else will be served, it'll be a mystery till we get there!

My parents will probably be here for lunch. I don't want any traditional food, so I may try to convince my husband to grill something if it's not too cold.

We're going to my parents and usually do something non-traditional.  This year they're talking about maybe making a prime rib but in past years we've done lasagna, choice of chili or gumbo, honeybaked ham, and other things.

I'm cooking but it won't be the big traditioal affair that Thanksgiving is.  I want to keep it casual but still pretty.  So I'll use my Christmas china but the foods will be less tradtional.  I'm not exactly sure what I will fix but I'm going to pull the menu from our favorite foods ~ regardless of how simple or casual those may be.

I cook Christmas brunch.  We go to my mom's for Christmas dinner.  I'm not sure what we'll be having.
