Did my weekly grocery shopping over lunch break. $32 for the week for the 6 of us!!! Granted, that is no milk (it was on sale last week so stocked up) and not much meat (again, been buying on sale, plus we have a half beef in the freezer).....But it's a LOT of produce, and even some lunch meat for the kids to make sandwiches with.
YAY! So excited - only $32!
WTG, that's great and I think you need to teach me your tricks. lol
Way to go!
Can you post what you bought, strategies and where?
Not much strategy really. We buy our beef by the half and I"ve been stocking up on chicken lately since it's been on sale. Milk was on sale last week so I bought enough for this week too. I've also been stocking up on things at Sam's since we live 90 miles away and I don't get there on a regular basis. I tried to make my weekly menu based off of what was in the freezer and in the pantry.
I bought 2 heads of lettuce, 2 pints grape tomatoes, 3 roma tomatoes, apples, oranges, radishes, 2 boxes taco shells, 2 loaves of bread, hamburger buns, a pkg of turkey bacon, 2 cans of baked beans, and sliced cheese. At Dillons. Part of the Kroger/Ralph's family.
