Are you guys watching this series? I loved the premiere last Sunday night. It was just what I've been looking for. Very creepy. Zombies look very scary. I couldn't go to sleep when it went off. LOL I am very excited about the series.
I personally am really excited. I learned about the series awhile ago thanks to friends who read the graphic novels (thankfully they have been keeping everything a secret from me!) and we were counting down the days until October 31. Other people were slightly worried at how the show might be ruined because it was on a "normal" TV station but I wasn't. AMC has a great history with its TV series and even if I don't like other three they do, I do give them props for their excellent dedication to those shows. So far I've seen the same dedication to "The Walking Dead."
Since I have not read the graphic novels I, too, am sitting on the edge of my seat every Sunday night wanting to know what is going to happen. I can't wait until the next Sunday. I'm hoping this Sunday I'll be home in time (out of town) to watch one of the three viewings -- I don't think I can wait until they replay it the following Saturday. AHHH! Especially since Rick apparently meets up with his wife again (in the commercials for this upcoming week). I do have a couple questions -- that don't ruin anything -- to ask if anyone has any ideas. The first one is how long was Rick in his coma? The TV series NEVER mentions this and my friends won't tell me (I swear, tell them to keep quiet about something...geez)...or at least I don't think the series has said anything about the length of time Rick was in his coma. I might have missed it the first four viewings - ha! The second one is somewhat of an opinion question -- does anyone else think it is slightly odd that Rick's wife just up and left him during a massive zombie "plague"? I know if it were me I'd do anything I could to take all my family members with me -- coma or not. I wouldn't just leave them there to die or worse, get eaten by zombies. I just found that a little weird. Of course we will probably find out part of that answer this upcoming Sunday. And final question -- what does everyone think of the cast? I am loving Andrew Lincoln as Rick -- but I've adored Lincoln since I first spotted him in the film "Love Actually." He has one of the most romantic moments ever in movie history. I also enjoyed Lennie James -- the father from the first episode. I loved him in "Jericho" as well. Now I'm really enjoying Glenn. Of course I am hesitant to really like any of these characters since this is a zombie apocalypse series! EEK!
Anyway...sorry I babbled on but I love horror -- I love zombies and now that we have a zombie TV series, I'm going to talk! ;)

My dh and I were talking about this when we watched last week's episode. At the very beginning of the first episode he told his partner that he and his wife weren't getting along so I thought maybe that played a part in why she took her son and left during a zombie plague. But then it seemed to us that Ricks' wife had his wedding band on a chain around her neck. She took it off before she had sex. Taking the wedding band off your spouse is something you might do if your spouse were dead. But yeah, I guess we'll find out on Sunday.
Deff. give it a read!! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I freaking LOVE IT! :)
Quoting oddgirl:I'm loving it, but I have to say zombie movies are like a bag of potato chips - I want the whole damn thing in one sitting. It's really hard to just get one episode and then wait a week. I didn't realize it was a comic first. I will have to look for it.
As for a session 2... AHHH, it just made my day to see that!!!!! WOOT!!
To be honest I hope it makes it all the way to where the comic is!
