Question: For those of you in public or private schools how long are your kids in school? What do you like or dislike about it?

My Alyssa is in a full day Kindergarten program (7:45am-2:55pm). She's had the same school hours at the same school since I enrolled her in the preschool program two years ago.
The advantage for me is that it allows me to get a lot of my work done during the day. (I telecommute from my home.)
The advantage for her is that she doesn't spend half the day in front of the TV or computer while I work. She actually learns things like Spanish, art, music, reading, writing, and basic math. She also gets to go outside and play with her friends, interact with kids older and younger than she is, and she gets to go to church with the rest of the students every Friday. Sometimes she even takes a nap, which I can never get her to do at home. LOL!
