How long where you engaged before you got married? My husband and I were engaged a year before marrying and got engaged about a month after reconciling our dating relationship. I explain to people why we got engaged so quick...we dated before and when we got back together it was like we never broke up.

We were engaged for about a year. I wanted plenty of time to plan the wedding.

we weren't really engaged lol we had just been together for 4 years and decided to go get the papers from the courthouse and we got married. My "engagement ring" is actually a promise ring he got me when we had an issue back in the day that got resolved(it was his promise to be faithful).
