How long where you engaged before you got married? My husband and I were engaged a year before marrying and got engaged about a month after reconciling our dating relationship. I explain to people why we got engaged so quick...we dated before and when we got back together it was like we never broke up.

Hubby and I were engaged for a year and half when we got married. We were together almost a year when we got engaged.
