Would you EVER tell your child this?

 So, we were watching HOUSE the other day and there was a couple on the show who told their child:

"If you really love someone (like husband and wife) you NEVER fight"

Would you ever tell your child this?

No way. And I definitely wouldn't buy that people never fight. I couldn't lie to our Kids like that. They'd get slapped in the face by reality later in life and think of me as a liar.

People fight, it's human nature. I think telling your kid something like that sets them up to be submissive. Fighting is a normal thing in relationships. No, I'd never tell my child that.

 No, I wouldn't because if you don't stand up for yourself it eventually eats you up inside!  There is a way to work things out, and fighting maybe one of those....

Nope. People get upset and that's normal. What I WILL tell them though is that sometimes we have to say sorry afterwards if we say something that we didn't mean.

no...bc its the most unrealistic thing to say...ever. everyone has opinions, therefor everyone has to argue or fight sometime...lol

 NO!!!  I know this is going to sound bad to some, but I'd rather have my children see DH and I disagree and then resolve the issue than give them that type of false idea.  I don't think that's a healthy message to be sending.

 Nope! Fighting is healthy....to a degree! And that whole don't go to bed mad thing is BS too! :)
