I have sporadic insomnia. I'm in my eigth month. I relax an hour before bed with a bath or shower. I do not eat two hours before bed and only drink water. Do you have tv in your bedroom? Turn it off a half hour to an hour before you lay down because tvs in the rooms we sleep can program our bodies into not viewing our sleeping area as a relaxing zone that we slumber in. I don't take sleep supplements I just try to unwind before bed.

Ask your ob if it's okay for you to take Tylenol pm or Benadryl. During my last trimester, it was very hard to get comfortable, let alone sleep. My ob said to take Tylenol pm. I was taking it about 3 times a week and it helped me a ton.

My OB told me Tylenol PM was ok to take also. I just hate relying on a sleep supplement not to mention I used to be dependent on them a few years ago.
