I was tempted to try it when I was pregnant with our Daughter. Then I had a friend (Nurse) online tell me not to---it can cause severe abdominal pain and rather explosive diarrhea, she said. I'd even bought 2 bottles.

I did use a little of it. It didn't induce labor, daughter didn't have bowel movement. I did but just a little.

oh, and i forgot, it tasted and felt horrible while going down. it was thick and gross, lol. we put it in pop, a milkshake, milk, water, juice, etc. nothing could mask it. it was thick like honey. but i eventually got it down. ( i was trying to self induce becuase my midwife was going on vaca and i really wanted her to deliver my baby. not a doc at the hospital. she was a family friend and she knew my birth plan and i knew she would let me do what was comfortable to me.) she stripped my membranes, earlier in the week she suugested primrose capsules, raspberry tea, etc, and the castor oil.

yes, bowel movements in utero is a risk. i did not know at the time. not sure of the % of risk.

and with all my bowel movements, i was def cleaned out, and had no fear of pooin while pushing, lol
