Day 1: Love is patient

Be completely humble and gentle; be

patient, bearing with one another in love.

—Ephesians 4:2 NIV

TODAY’S DARE

The first part of this dare is fairly simple.

Although love is communicated in a

number of ways, our words often reflect

the condition of our heart. For the next

day, resolve to demonstrate patience and

to say nothing negative to your spouse at

all. If the temptation arises, choose not to

say anything. It’s better to hold your

tongue than to say something you’ll regret.

regret

Ok I said I was sorry for what I did (it takes a lot for me to admit I was wrong and apologize) He said, " Trust is important but once it's broken "sorry " means nothing"  so had the urge to let my fury rise up from how much the rejection from my hurt was. Instead I replied," I will keep feeling regret for what I did for my half.  You will see even if it takes years down the road I will not give up. I will keep praying God can see my heart. You know why I refuse give up because when someone truly loves someone else they don't give up. Just like we said no matter what road or bridge we may cross we won't give up. I am not breaking my marriage vow. I wll still be here strong and loving you."

Anyone have any tips anything I could do?

Keep in mind that it can take much longer than 40 days to complete this.  I tried it with my XH.  While I kept working, he never stopped being selfish and when my daughter kept trying to 'break us up' when we were talking (about in depth stuff), I knew that it was time to let her have a happy childhood.  She was 3 at the time.
