Would you destroy something of your s/o???? edit

I was reading a post on mom confessions and was just wondering what other women would do.

If your s/o or dh had an addiction to something like a video game, would you smash it?  What if their addiction was a car would you break the car into pieces?

Edit: My s/o is very into his car.  His car is worth a lot of money and will be worth way more if he gets it into some car shows.  There are only like 100 of this type of car left and only like 30 in the condition that his in.  I hate the damn car but I know how much he loves it.  I know it would be a horrible thing to do anything to it.

I definitely wouldn't smash anything of his. A long time ago he used to be addicted to a computer game but we have come a very long way since then.

My husband us a collector. Her has a massive collection. Even if I was incredibly angry at him I would never cause damage to it.
But I am not that kind of person to begin with. I believe in personal dignity and acting in a destructive way does nothing to elevate the person, nor does it solve problems.

I wouldn't destroy it. If all efforts failed to get him off of it, I would sell it or get rid of it. My DH is addicted to tv. Even if he's not watching something is always playing, even while he goes to sleep. We've been working on getting him to shut it off. Since our DD was born he has had no issue ignoring the tv and spending time with her.

No. If I did we'd have to replace a computer. I don't think adults.should have to result in breaking things.

I feel this way too.  Adults should talk and try to resovle things without being destructive.
