The lil things

the begining of last year was really rough on our marriage. We have moved forward and it's 200x better. I'm incredibly happy.
There are times I fine my self insecure and unsure but most of the time I'm not. I know he loves me. But when he does the little things it really shows. Like for example:

The other night I was teasing him when we went to bed and asked you know what I love? And he said " that I switched to your side of the bed periodically." I laughed and said yes. He softly told me " it's because I love to smell your scent"
Then today he sends me a pic of himself looking at the camera as if I were there with him and all it said was I love you. It was the same look he gives me when he is telling me in person. I could see it in his face that he was thinking of me.
Then as he was leaving this evening to go out with his brother he kissed and said I love you. And actually hugged me. Usually he grabs me from the side with his arm around my shoulder and kisses me either on the forehead or lips. Which is very heartwarming too, but the hug tonight was like kinda didn't want to leave me. I just melted inside.

We've been going to the gym and watching what we eat. I've only lost three pounds but he's been really complimenting me like I've lost more. He just really makes feel good.

Tonight I posted a pic on face book and he commented "damn who's that sexy woman you got a man? "

I just love when he does stuff like that. I'm a real mushy lovey dovey type person in always posting on his wall I love him or updating my status how much I live him and blah blah. Him not so much. So when he does the little things I just melt. I just had to share.
What are some of the lil things dh does for you? Btw after being together almost 8 years and the ups and downs that came with it, I still feel deeply in love with him as I did at 18 when we first kissed and were dating!!

My DH isn't much of the little things kind of guy.  He's more of the Grand Gesture every once in a blue moon.lol  The little things that he doesn't know that make me so happy are when he asks me to come cuddle and watch tv with him or when he talking to DD and telling her how much I love her and that the things I do around the house and such are because I love them both so much.  Yes, I eavesdrop...lol

 Aww, that's awesome! My DH isn't too much into the romantic stuff, so when he does pull something off like that, it makes it so special!
