Town Hall ~ City clerk or courthouse wedding???

we were married in 2002 & divorced in 2007 ~ we never really moved on and got back together and are now wanting to get re-married (long back story that I wont share now!) ~ Im not wanting the big fancy wedding, what is the point?! ~ Has anyone ever just had their "wedding/ceremony" right at the town clerk??

we didn't have the option of doing it right at the county clerk, we went through the courts. we got to pick our officiant (we actually interviewed him beforehand, we wanted a super funny non-religious easy going officiant) and we each had our best friend their for witnesses (no family in our state) and it was the best. we both wore jeans and our "wedding day" pictures are so beautiful in their own way. i think the courthouse is the way to go, especially getting re-married!

Usually someone who is a notary public can marry you.
