Birth control

I am not sure if I ask this here. But I am looking into birth control. I think we are done having kids. But not sure if I want something permanent like the Essure tho that is another of my options. But those who have had the Essure done as well as those who have had periguard IUD. I know the Essure they will do at my 6 week but I read that you have to wait 3 weeks, go back and they do something with dye and then take an X-ray to make sure it's in the right place. Does anyone have experience with this? I know it's my choice, but what would you say would be the safest? And what would you prefer? Any kind of help would be appreciated.

I am not sure what that is exactly.  I can't help much since I can't take any hormonal BC at all.  Makes my blood pressure go to heart attack levels.  As a result, I am pretty against hormonal BC, however if someone else chooses it, I am not going to judge.  Hope someone else can help you!  Good luck.  :)

I'm not sure if Essure has any hormones in it or not, but periguard IUD is non hormonal. I can't take hormonal birth control makes me sick and gives me the worst migraines.

I've never been on birth control. My husband got a vasectomy a few weeks ago, because we are done having babies!

I believe its three months they check it actually not three weeks, but I refuse to get an IUD. I would do the coils, but I might want another baby..if that helps at all. I have been researxhing bc like crazy as I cant do hormonal anymore.

What about Mirena? The IUD that's for 5 years or sooner if you decide to have it removed?

My hubby is fixed :) before that I took birth control pills and I'm glad I don't anymore. I didn't like the shot or any kind of iud so I just took pills. Then we decided no more babies so we fixed that!! I'm so glad we did no more crazy hormones :)
