Finances: 50/50 split or not?

I want to hear some feedback/comments on how finances are divided between a married couple. Is it a 50/50 split? Or is it like dumping all money earned or received in one account and spend accordingly? How do you and your husband allocate the money you have?

We have joint accounts. He makes the money and I budget and pay the bills. No major purchases are made without first discussing it.

This is exactly what my DH tells me.

We have 1 bank account. That's where paychecks go in and bills and shopping come out. It's OUR money.

We have separate accounts. He pays the rent and utilities, car and truck insurance, cell bill, and his credit cards. I pay for all groceries and household items, and the truck payment; also if we order out or eat out, I will pay for that also. Depending on who has the money at the time, we take turns buying the bigger items. We are not married tho either; he makes about 600 more a month than I do, too.

We have one account. I make sure the bills are paid & then we budget our money from there. :)

DH and I have separate accounts. I'm on his, but he never wanted to be on mine. He takes care of the bigger bills, like mortgage and car, because he's the higher earner. I take care of water, gas, daycare, and HOA. If either of us have any issues paying anything, we talk about it. I've paid the car a few times, like when insurance premiums were due, and DH has paid utilities when I've paid off medical bills, stuff like that.

The money we earn is pooled and the bills paid out of the joint account.  I have never had any interest in living like a room mate...

We each have our own money and we each have our bills that we pay.

Separate checking accounts and savings. Nothing is combined

We have one account.  And I normally pay the bills and let him see what's left over.

Since Marrying my husband, I have become a stay at home mom/housewive. Leaving all the financal support on my husband. We have a joint account, not only does he pay for the finances since being married, he also is paying for my bills from before we were married.
