Comfort or Excess?

I'm the type of person who is okay with having enough or being comfortable as far as money &material things are concerned, DH on the other hand thinks you can never have too much money or things and will continue to seek it even if he has plenty.

What about you &your SO?

DH and I are both the kinds of people that are not satisfied with what they have.  The more we get the more we want.  DH is okay with a happy medium but I'm not I'm an extremist on both ends....I want it all or nothing at all.

im the same as you but my husband grew up poor ( i mean section 8 project housing) and he loves his money works 14-16 hour days, loves to have every thing nice. He doesnt liek to buy any thing used it has to be new.  But I mean the way her grew up I can see why does what he does.

We're both into Comfort more than anything. Sure, there are things we'd like at different times, but what we have is enough if we can't swing it. We're not ones for excess at all.

My huband had a similar upbringing in a housing project and didn't have many nice things until he worked as a teen and also like yours prefers to buy new things.

I'm OK with comfortable but my husband was raised that if he can't give us everything we want then he's not a real man.

We make more than enough but it is never enough for him. That is the one thing I am pushing for him to change.

He def likes the finer things which I can complain lol atleast he doesnt want to buy crapy stuff lol/ I mean I would love him either way but ofcourse nice stuff is always better lol my husband had thrift store clothign except for xmas, an he never had expensive shoes untill he could buy them. now all his clothing comes from the mall, an his shoes match his hats and his shoes and hats match his shits lol.

I am happy with a roof over my head and food on the table..Just want enough money to not live paycheck to paycheck even though in the end if you get more money people tend to add more bills and what not and soo the cycle continues. The hubby is the same. We always said if we win the lotto we would pay off the house, maybe update it some more and put the rest in savings after we clear every and all debt o and I would quit my job since his income would then be enough to feed and clothe us.

We both like to have nice things. Dh grew up poor his whole life & I did once my parents split up so now that we have money we get nice things but by all means we also try to save money when we can.

I like quality more than quantity. DH loves money and the lifestyle that comes with it. Makes us butt heads sometimes. Don't get me wrong...I never turn down more money. I just don't need the latest and greatest of everything.
