my mom was at my house bleaching my hair and my df went upstairs to get me something, and i said thanks hon i love you
she said, you two say that a lot, i love you. that usually fades.

we have 4yo and 4mo boys so we've been together a while.

i never thought about it before but, it made me feel good. we still kiss a lot, goof around, we even held hands walking down the st last time we got a date 'day'.

Several times a day and we've been together 11 years. I will never stop saying it, giving him kisses and hugs throughout the day, and he does the same to me. I think it's important. I grew up with a mother who never ever showed affection. EVER. I am determined to have a completely different relationships with my kids and husband.

Oh and I want to add that my daughter tells my mom "I love you all the time" and seriously after 5 1/2 years she JUST started saying it back to my daughter! It's so weird that she's like that but I'm so happy to see her finally say it to someone even if it is her 5 year old granddaughter/  :-)

we text it more than physically say it. opposite schedules keep us apart more often than not

I get random text while hes working saying I love you beautiful girl. or I love you snuggleupa pookie chop... he and my 5 year old decided they would call me that from now on lol... Wouldnt trade him for anything
