Oh, I went through this for a long time. I realized that my dh is a busy, on the go, always needs to be doing something type of guy. I have accepted this instead of continuing to fight about it and,getting nowhere.

I now make specific plans... "On Saturday can we take the kids to the park for a couple hours?" Or "On Sunday I am taking the kids swimming for an hour or two. They would love if you came with."

With this plan making, he plans around our plans and never says no. he wants to do stuff with us too, he just needs help with what to do. Try it.

by talking to him tell him you want  family  time,and if he works have time on the weekend its very important u have family time. Try working it out squeezing time in do he work all duirng the week and weekends

Do things he likes to do. We've gOne fishing, to football games (high school and college), dd "helps" him build things, we have started bicycling together, etc.

 he has this hobby gun book's,gun show's,gun's computer all of his spare time is guns . make's me sad cause he spends his weekend's and any spare time.
