A little back ground....DH and I each have a child from a previous marriage and decided last year we wanted to have a child together. I stopped my birth control and we started trying, we had a miscarriage then AF decided to stop. I went to the md got checked out, everything looked good. AF decided to show up finally own her own. After that DH tells me that he's changed his mind! I asked why and he said bc we can't afford a baby. He decided to have a baby while we had a mortgage and 2 car notes. We have recently finished our house which is paid for and his truck was paid off 2 months ago and I put the last payment for my car in the mail Friday. This means the only bills we have now are our living expenses. He also races on the weekends so we have expense. We have plenty of room at our home, our cars have room for a carseat and everyone to be comfortable, I have wonderful insurance, we have money in savings to help while I'm off after the baby, I have plenty of vacation/sick time to use to take off without losing pay from work so I'm not sure why he says we can't afford it. To make matters worse I told him I refuse to go back on birth control bc if he changed his mind again I don't want to have to deal with all the side effects from stopping again. He hasn't made any effort to prevent pregnancy but wanted to have sex this weekend. I refused it bc it was during my fertile time and I don't want him to say I got pregnant behind his back. I asked him last night to remind me to cancel my follow up appt for August and he said why so I proceeded to tell him what it was for and he said do whatever u want. I said well you said you were done and I can't have a baby by myself and he just went off on me. I'm stuck at work and can't take a break right now and I just want to cry. He has made me so mad!! What should I do?? It's like he just throwing it in my face that we aren't going to have a baby but he knows how badly I wanted to and he was the same way until 1 day he just texted me and said he didn't.

i would let some time blow over, an then bring it up again honestly , allow things to settle down give it a month an bring it back up an say i want a honest answer an i want it now, because like you said , your not just gonna oooppps let it happen, i totally agree with the rolla coaster ride that is getting off bc, im on it right now
i plan to go on paraguard after we have a baby
