My super awesome wonderful husband has decided to quit smoking which is really hard for him to do. He has been smoking for almost 10 years now. we are also military so you see everybody smoking so that really does not help him but being in the army he also gets help he is going to the month long classes to help him and getting medication to help quit the smoking too. He has tried a dozen ways without them and has always given in by day three! I of course want to support him in the whole process and i was thinking about getting him a congrats gift for when he goes a whole month without them kinda like way to go you did it congrats man! but I am so stumped on what to get him i wanna make him laugh every time he uses it or sees it and make him feel super proud of himself. he has been trying to quit for years now so this is huge!

I don't get you women...you met your man when he smoked, right? You marry him and then you complain about his smoking.

Great...he won't last long, before he starts smoking again - sneaky tooo, lol. ...just let him be...geez.

Thats awesome for yall. The first 3 days are alwasys the hardest, even if you are in classes and taking other things to help quit. Once you get through the first 3 days, the rest is in your head :)

Im a smoker as well and have been with non smokers and i understand that even though you put up or deal with it, its still something to be happy about and occasionally complain about if they don't quit. Its not good to be around. If that one flaw was a good enough reason to not be with someone, then that's bogus. And a lot of smokers say they will or plan to quit at some point. So it gives the non smoker a ray of hope that some day they will be with a non smoker. So don't bash her because she has hopes to be with someone she loves that finally decides and succeeds at quitting smoking.

Op i would think of something that he hasn't been able to have or has wanted for a while and with the amount of money that would have been spent on cigs, could be spent on that. But as far as what... I don't know. I don't know him and you would want it to be something really personal and specific to him! Tell him congrats from all of us!

I dont think this comment was necessary. She said HE decided to quit. His decision, not hers.

OP, that's great. I wish I had some gift ideas for you. Congrats to him!

What a Debbie downer. I smoked for 14 years and quit cold turkey. I've been a non smoker for over 4 years now. How about a little support for people making good, healthy decisions.

Why do you always have to be so damn negative.

He is choosing to quit and she is being supportive.

I always buy my husband those goofy singing dancing toys. He always laughs when it turns on.

Even a singing card to say congratulations!

It's not that we want to change our husbands or whatever it's that we want them to be healthy. I know my husband was having health issues and this is the reason why he decided to quit smoking.
