I don't think it ruins EVERYTHING, but it does make some things suck. It is just a piece of paper for some, it's rights to possessions for others, it's rights to some medical choices and acess, and it's a vow of partership and love under God for others.

its not a piece a paper, a piece of paper can be thrown away,
i have a friend who doesn't believe in marriage thinks it ruins everything, but i think she was just burnt
i think a marriage makes things wonderful, yes it technically doesn't change your day to day, but it does stretghen your relationship an take it to new places

No. it only ruins things if you have the "its just paper" mindset. if you walk into marriage with realistic expectations and the mindset that its a real commitment that means more than anything, and that its going to be the ride of your life, then i dont believe it will ruin anything.
