How many dresses did you try on, before you picked your wedding dress?

 Just wondering, how long it took to finally pick out your wedding dress.

I fell in love with my dress right away and it was the first one I tried on. My mom told me to try a few more just for comparison so I did, but I didn't like any of them and after 3 others I said screw this, I know what I want!

 5 or 6 at max.. "the one" was actually the first dress I tried on...
and stupidly I actually bought a different one.. because it was a little cheaper (though it was NOTHING I wanted in a dress). all the while thinking about "the one"...

I went back the very next day at opening and exchanged and paid the little extra for my AMAZING dress!

I went to several places for dresses.  The 2nd place had the dress, it was the 4th dress at that point but I wanted to be sure so I tried on LOTS more at different shops before coming back to that dress.

1. I thought it was the one, and brought my mom to show her. She found another style she liked for my DD. The consultant was like, WAIT, I have one gown left in the same style. DD and I put on the dresses, and I knew instantly that this one was the one...
