i'll cook something easy for me and addison. 

but other than that i'm not cooking..

My brother in law does this and takes it further. She will ask what kind of food, and he will say good food. And she will sai what kind of good food and he says the kind I eat.... He can keep it going for hours.

I make plans for several days in advance. I ask my husband while I'm making the menu if he wants something specific. If he does, I get the stuff to make it sometime during the week. If he doesn't, I get stuff to make what the kids and I eat best and he is fine with that.

Sometimes when I run out of ideas I ask him for ideas for the menu, and he does way better at that than on-the-spot pressure of "what should I cook tonight?".

Maybe try that.

I don't ask him, i just make whatever is easiest for me. If he wants something specific then he will call or text me with his request.
