I step away, give myself time to breathe. Try to look at the problem from his point of view. Then write down my feelings and why I feel that way, what can help make me feel better. Then I talk to him.
I have a good cry, let out all my frustration...then when I can be calm, I approach DH and explain why I'm upset and we're able to talk and communicate much better with each other. I'm 25 weeks pregnant and my DS has entered the toddler phase, so I've become a lot more patient in the last couple of months.
I usually let him have it. I tell him how I feel quite vigorously.
If all else falls this is me! LOL I can have a bad temper, and creative things come out my mouth if I don't step back first.

Unless it's a small annoyance that I can just bitch quick about, I usually try and hold it in, a bit. I will listen to some violent music, or write something or do something physcial to calm myself down. Then I go tell him what bothered me.
I fantasize about ways to kill him and get away with it. Seriously. lol
