My SO and I weren't even talking marriage when he proposed. Three days later, we were going to pick out a ring after working and I was hit by a car. That was almost 5 years ago. I'm doing well and recently got my wedding dress for our June 2014 wedding.

Married almost two years ago. He had to propose by Skype from Korea, so his mom and my DD helped him out by bringing out a special jewelry box that he'd bought for the occasion. He bought it outside the base, and the top of it has mother-of-pearl colored cranes on it, and it plays music. Our last name is Crane, so I thought the design was awesome. Inside was the perfect ring, and he watched on Skype as I pulled it out, read his proposal letter, and put the ring on. DD was so excited.

We just planed our marriage, not really a proposal. But the morning of, he left early and bought me the wedding ring came home, have it to me, and we got married. I loved it! Not normal, but it worked for us!
