1 mom liked this

Go for a walk, have a movie night at the house, roleplaying, read to each other, date night at the house (candle lit dinner when the kiddos go to bed), cook together.

lately, it's just been sitting on the couch or eating together...that's it! He has major back issues right now that prevent him from doing much of anything without pain, so we don't go anywhere anymore.  We are still waiting for his appointment for the pain specialist to see if he needs surgery or not.  I'm basically bored of just sitting there...ALL the time! We can't work out together due to his back. Our walks are really short...due to his back.  Etc.  I need to be moving and I don't mind having fun without him, but I also want him to be there on occasion when the fun starts, ya know?  I've never tried the reading to each other thing. That could be fun.

I am sure you can think of something

Game night & pizza with cards, dominos, or board games. You could invite other couples over and make it a group date. If you did this, you could alternate between each others homes, too so that you're getting out of the house.

Candelight dinner. Spaghetti and garlic bread are cheap to make.

I'm not sure the extent of his back pain, but maybe you two could do some basic massage therapy combined with aroma therapy for each other with calming music playing in the background. There's a few good books if you're not sure how. Or you could save up a little here and there and go out for a couples massage.

Occasionally, we do go to friends' to play games and such, but we generally have to leave early since his pain meds make him sleepy.  However, I am going to make it a point to go more often.  I've offered massage several times, but he has turned it down.  Poor guy is just depressed about the whole thing.

dont do what some do and go straight for a threesome! whatever floats your boat, and I am not against threesomes, but I'm always amazed by how some people with jump into that as a quick fix for when their marriage is in a rut.

if you are asking about bedroom stuff, i say try some costumes and roleplaying. maybe some vibrating toys if you've never done that.

I also suggest a couple of bikes for you and your hubby to ride together, that was a lot of fun for me and my hubby, and it works well when we are irritated with each other. fresh air and exercise can do wonders for your mood!

in short, play together! even if it's a game of uno.
