Wedding cake question!! Important get in here!

 Okay. Okay. Not THAT important. LOL. I am at work bored! :(

Anyway, my question is:::: For the top of the cake did you save it for a year and then eat it??  LOL. Sounds kinda gross, but I heard it doesn't go bad and its good luck or something. (you freeze the cake).

We didn't care, we had a far from traditional wedding and plus I'm not a big cake eater

We put it in the freezer. It was perfectly safe to eat. But sitting in a freezer for a year will definitely make it a little stale.

 I want to try it, but I don't know if I can wait a whole year to eat it. Maybe a week. Yep, I could wait a week.  LOL

We did.  We wrapped it incredibly well and put it in the freezer.  When the time came, we took it out a few days before our anniversary and let it gently defrost.  Our wedding cake was absolutely delicious and the frozen tier tasted exactly the same. It works as long as you wrap up your cake really well and freeze it properly.
