No. My mom was great and im incorporating a lot of the things she did with my own daughter.

Yes! my mother is still dealing with her own childhood trauma which has made it very hard for her to love anyone.

Yes but she did what she knew. She was 19 when she had me and I think she did the best she could with where she was in her life.

Yes. I was raised by my step-mom and at that time we did not get along. It wasn't until I was in my earlier twenties that I carried an actual decent conversation with her. She how ever is a great mom to my siblings and a great Mimi to my children.

Definitely. My mom was awful. I would never choose men, alcohol or drugs over my children. I wouldn't leave them with strangers for months on end.
