Starting this today and already it is difficult. Anyone out there that can help with this - advice, encouragement - anything.....I would really appreciate it!
It's from the Christian movie Fireproof. It is a 40 day devotional guide to lead your heart back to truly loving your spouse, while learning more about the design, nature and source of love.
I'm looking for someone to help me through this....like a mentor....my marriage is struggling and....well...
I found it complete BS--she is the one treating him badly and he is supposed to do all these nice things for her when she obviously didnt deserve it since she was tempted to cheat on him! Good luck! Sure treat me like garbage and Im really going to want to kiss your butt??!!
I don't want to get into, but that is what is called unconditional love. It's not an easy thing, but with him doing so (in the movie), she came around and saw that he had changed and in effect, she wanted that same thing. Thankfully, she saw this, before she did do something that she would of regretted, but he too had his issues with pornography. But more then that, if you are struggling in your relationship, this is a great tool to work on in your marriage and do the dare. Also, the movie touched a little bit on it, but they had problems, both were selfish.....it's whether you can give yourself unselfishly to your spouse. I also think some people don't understand where him or her are coming from, because it is based on Christian beliefs. And this is my struggle....because I do know what God teaches, not perfectly, because I am not perfect, but I get it.....it's just difficult dare to do....I am doing it, I'm on day 2 and with Gods guidance in this, I hope to have my eyes opened to my slefish ways and love my husband as God so loved the church.
