So my SO and I were at the er til just now because he was having chest pain. While we sitting there talking he takes my hand and says
"I think it's time I got you a ring." O_o
He then proceeded to talk about when he got me the ring he a was going to marry me 6 months to a year after. OMG! He just told me he's planning on proposing!!!
*does happy dance* I am in such a good mood!

He's doing better now. They want him to have a stress test to check his heart health. Right now we're ready to curl into a ball under the covers and ignore the world. :-)

Maybe he just said it because he thought he was dying? Why would he ruin the surprise? and why would he already know WHEN the marriage would be, without your input?? good luck!

Did you ask him what he meant? Did he think he was dying? Or is he really proposing? Congrats

why does everybody seem to think he only said it because he thought he was dying?

I've dated some real assholes in the past but he's not 1 of them. he's a serious now is he was then.

and it doesn't really ruin the surprise of it if he doesn't tell me when he's going to do it he just said that it's time he got me a ring.

While I have a tendency to be pessimistic about engagements with out rings. I will say this it sounds like he realizes what he has and knows he does not want you to disappear. Congratulations.
