First impression...

You overhear a conversation you were not supposed to hear, it goes like this;

Woman: "I'll be in town for a couple days on the ______."
Man: "Alright."
Woman: "You'll probably be to busy with your kids and their sports stuff to even see me."
Man: "Na, there's always time for you."
Woman: "Sure, sure."
Then basically hang up. Just a got to go, have such and such to do and an OK bye.

Woman is man's ex wife, man is married with kids.

What are your first thoughts?

 I would think they have something going on between them that they shouldn't be and the ex wife is jealous that she doesnt have him back ALL to herself bc she isnt satisfied with whatever inappropriate affair they already have going on.

Obviously I could be wrong, but that is how I would take it myself.

Does the wife know about the relationship the husband and his ex have?  This convo seems like one I'd have with my best friend (a guy) so to me it seems innocent.  However, if the wife doesn't know about their friendship then I'd say she should be very concerned.

Yes the wife knows. The ex has been making more and more comments like that and its starting to make the wife not like the association any more. I thought it sounded like jealousy and searching for reassurances. Just wanted some other opinions.
