Get a new one and call it good. I don't see why you would need to go through all that for a ring. The ring isn't what is holding you marriage together.

Seriously? You are considering remarrying him over the ring? Its just a ring, a symbol. Seems to verge on idolatry to feel like it means you aren't married anymore.

The ring doesn't make you married. It is a symbol that you're married. Get a new ring and move on with life. =]

i understand why you are asking. a few months after we were married dh ring broke, seriously broke. we had insurance on it and went and got the same ring, again three days later it broke. i took it as a bad sign...like our marriage was jinxed or something (weird i know) but we went and got a totally different ring. yes i feel like our rings should be blessed, they were blessed at the beggining so why not now? dh disagrees. i think if you really feel like you want them blessed, just go into a church and tell them how you feel. im sure saying a prayer over them wont hurt

My husband rarely wears his ring... only when he's dressed up. He doesn't wear his to work.

I don't wear my ring to school or work (nursing)...

It's really not that big of a deal.

My dad has lost his twice. My parents just bought a new one. They've been married 37 years.
