Of course there is more to having a great marriage then just surrounding yourself with people with great marriages, but I do believe that if you surround yourself with postitive people the more postitve you will be. We as humans "feed" for lack of a better term off of others energy, You know the term misery loves company? If you surround yourself with miserable people, you will be miserable.

True.  But applies to life in general, not just marriage.

I agree, but as a PP said, that goes for life, not just marriage.

I believe in this. I also believe that married people should have more married friends then single friends.

I think this is true to a point. I have a lot of great examples of love and logevity in my family, it really inspires me. I look at my grandparents who were together 63 years before my grandmother passed, you can be damn sure there were hard times they had to get through in that 63 years.

So true! people in good strong relationships know the hard work it takes on both parties to make it so.
