I need some ideas.  My usual arsenal is failing me, and he really needs some help coping with stress right now.

Lay it on me, gals!

It depends on the cause of the stress.

Work. He's under a lot of pressure at his job.

Talk, listen, give him a few beers, neck and back massage and sex if he wants. Usually just letting him tell me about things helps him unwind.

Those things haven't been helping him very much lately, but I will keep doing them regardless because he likes them and it shows him I care.

For my hubby sex does it.

I hope it helps. Maybe take him to dinner or meet him and have an evening. Just something different. A change of pace. I know it helps for mine. And i feel it is good that you mentioned you will keep trying, hope it helps him and you both. I know when mine is down and bothered it bothers me as well.

Sex should do it. Jump his bones.

Lol, I wish.  When he's stressed his libido takes a dive, and we've fought about the fact that I have a much higher sex drive than he enough that me jumping his bones when he doesn't want me to has the opposite effect more often than not.  He feels like he's making me feel badly.  We've solved that problem for day to day stuff but in times of stress it still becomes an issue sometimes.
