so of you are familiar with my situation, SO took  job 855 miles away and is only home for Christmas and summer.

he gets up early (4:15 his time) to call me every day before work. Lately he'd only call me late at night (9:00 his time, 10:00 for me) and I'd be exhausted, too tired to talk.  So.. he'd call earlier, text me more often, etc.

I knew  he was sending me flowers for Valentine's Day, and Sunday he went shopping to buy goodies to send me a 'care package'. Yesterday he asked if it had arrived. It hadn't. For some reason he had decided to send it to me at work.. not sure why he'd do that. He said several times last night "make sure you text me when you get it!".. okay; We chatted on the phone as usual.. once around dinner time, then again around bed time. He could tell I was a bit 'down'. Chatted again this moring. Well, I was a bit bummed about being away from him for VD, and this morning at work.. no gift. Later this afternoon, the flowers arrived, but the guy in maintenance said that was the only package for me. Great. ... hopefully it's not lost in the mail.

I texted him to tell him the flowers came, thank you! But, no other package. He replies with "I will be pissed if it doesn't come today." So.. I feel bad for his frustration. Later he texts to say he has a confirmation that it will arrive around 3:00.

okay...

I get a call from the front office saying my other package arrived, come get it.

I walk in and.. no box.

Just a bag of gummy worms (my favorite!) ,,,, with his hand writing on the bag. ..

no box..

this just doesn't make sense..

"Is this how this came???" I asked....

yep.. because he delivered it in person! !!!!!!

My honey flew home for the weekend,... just to be with me!!!! woo hoo!
