That all sounds wonderful! I hope you will think about sharing some wedding pics with us in group after your wedding! : D

I am sorry no one you love could go with you  dress shopping, but on the bright side, I am glad that means for sure, that you picked out the dress YOU truly love and feel beautiful and special in.. once in a great while I watch the show Say Yes To The Dress and  I get so mad at the people who try to make  the bride not choose what SHE really likes and to choose according to THEIR taste and style that isn't HER Grrrrr!  It should ALWAYS be all about the bride and groom,  it should not matter what others think!

Your baby plans sound really smart and well thought out,  I hope you will still be an  active part of our group when that time comes so we can celebrate that with you  too!  : D

I can relate to you with being an old soul, I have always been an old soul since I was a little kid too (all 5 of our kids always have been too, talking or listening to them even as toddlers was shockingly insightful so often. They awe me! .. 2 boys almost 19 and 27 and 3 girls 20, almost 22 and 25 .. you could be my DAUGHTER! : )   but at the same time I am young at HEART and playful too. I personally think  that is a good combination if I do say so myself tee hee ; P

brideYou are soooo pretty, you are going to be a stunning bride!

congratsgraduate Congrats on  your college accomplishments! Good for you! What are your degrees  in?

Thank you! The dress is a surprise. We are going to have a reveal before the wedding though. It's just so much easier for the photographer and I also think it'll help me and my emotions. I know I will still be crying when I walk down the isle, but I think it'll be better if I see him before. Plus it'll be very intimate for him and I to see each other alone for the first time instead of everyone seeing me at once. I didn't bring anyone with me dress shopping, I actually went alone. Sad I know. It was during the week and my family is about 2 hours away and they all had to work. It wasn't bad though. There was a lady there that stood with me the entire time and told me what she liked and pointed out things I wouldn't ever notice. My consultant was really nice also! It was a good experience, even if I didn't share it with my loved ones. My family is traveling to our wedding. Actually, mostly everyone is coming from out of town. My fiance and I live somewhere that none of our family or close friends are from. They will be staying in a hotel. I am going to stay in a hotel the night before the wedding also. I am going to stay at the venue after the rehersal and decorate, then go to the hotel. My fiance is going to stay at a different hotel and casino. (not sure if the casino is a good thing haha) No but it'll be nice for him to relax and have some fun. My mom and 1 of my bridesmaids are staying with me in my suite. It's a big king suite with 2 kind beds and a seperate living room, kitchen, bathroom and dining area, so it'll be great for all of us to get ready in! My other 2 bridesmaids are my fiances sisters. They have children so they will be staying in their own rooms the night before. I don't think our first year of marriage will be bad at all. We do everything married couples do, I just don't have his last name. I cannot wait to start a family that's for sure though. (I mean I can wait, but you know what I mean.) :) I am about to graduate from college and then I will be graduating again next year with my 4 year degree. I think we will start trying for a family after that. I am only 20 years old, but most everyone says I seem a lot older than that. I'm an old soul and I'm a lot different then other people my age. That's okay with me though. :)

1 mom liked this

Yes I got the dress I really wanted! It was nothing I thought I wanted either. I thought I wanted a big fluffy dress and I got a tight mermaid dress. I will post pictures of it when I get home! I watch SYTTD sometimes and it frustrates me also. It think that's why I was so hesitant on bringing anyone with me. I plan on keeping up with this even when I have babies! I know I will want the advice of other moms! I am at a different place in my life than most people my age, so my friends will have no idea how to connect with me on that level. I could be your daughter! That's awesome! I talk to my mom a lot, but she's not very involved in my wedding. I think she is trying more now though. Thank you for the compliment. That was very sweet. :) My associates degree is in Human Services and my bachelors degree is in Communications! :)

Yay! I am so happy for you that you got the dress you really wanted even if it surprised even you.. it's like when you put on "the one" you just KNOW and you don't even need someone else to tell you to confirm it or to deny it. It FEELS right inside and you just know. It feels almost magical in a way the other beautiful dresses just didn't. That is smart of you to take advice with future babies all with a grain of salt, something to consider . yes perhaps... but to follow blindly just because an experienced mom or expert said so.. no! That is you being wise and insightful beyond your years again. Because I know for exammple having had 2 boys and 3 girls, all had things in common but all were extremely unique individuals, hard to believe they were all raised by me and equally because they were all so unique and special and individual in their own ways and we encouraged that, but that also means what works for one mom or family with her kids might be something to consider and try if it FEELS RIGHT to you knowing your kids better than anyone or maybe not.. and even with more than one of your own kids, you may find that what works awesome in dealing with one of them, is useless on another one. they keep you creative and on your toes that is for sure lol I always say we have our own inner intuitions and gut instincts for a reason to help guide us and more of us need to listen to those things within our own selves as oppossed to looking for answers outside of us from others.. outside of advice is only for consideration to think about and weigh in our minds to see if it feels right for us and our kids or not. You seem to have a really good head on your shoulders, especially for someone still so young... I have a feeling you will do really well at anything you aspire to. : ) PS just so you know... as friendly as I am with people I do NOT give empty compliments I don't genuinely mean just to be nice either.. I only say things I mean.. I think it's insulting and even mean to give empty compliments so if I say one, you can be sure I am NOT being kind... I am merely being totally honest. :) Those sound like good college degrees, you should be so proud of yourself, you really are on a positive track with your life and especially for being so young still. You don't seem like a person who just daydreams about dreams for her future and hopes and wonders if they will ever come true, instead you take one step at a time to ensure you are working toward making sure they come true! That will serve you well all of your life and will be a great example to your future kids too. YOu should be so very proud of yourself. Are you thinking of being a working career mom what with all your college accomplishments or not sure yet? It's empowering that you will have the choice one way or another when the time comes to do whatever makes you happiest and feels in your best interest at that time. : ) That's so wonderful you are creating such great options for yourself either way! You really cant go wrong either way! : ) Your future just seems so bright to me!

Oh yeah I really did know it was my dress! I couldn't stop looking at myself and I even shed a few tears. I know that a lot of people don't take having children or even marriage seriously these days. It's truly sad. People think they need to have a baby to stay together and then they need to get married because they have a baby and it's just a mess in it's own. You are very insightful and I enjoy talking with you. I do think I will be a working mom. I enjoy working and I enjoy making my own money. I love my fiance with everything I have, but I do know that things happen in life and I don't want to depend on anyone else for stabilty. I think that I should stand my own as well as my fiance and I standing together as a team. I really do go after my dreams. I have this one chance to do everything I ever wanted to do, why can't I do them? That's how I look at it. I just want to build the best life I can and be truly happy during it all. :)
