My husband and I have separate finances. What about you?

Nope. It has never crossed my mind. We opened a joint back account the first week we were married.

Yep. Cash flows through his fingers like water so he has limited access to our savings.

Does anyone else ever notice that someone makes a new post asking this exact same question at least once a week?

Joint accounts, no, not really a huge topic in our marriage. We address it as needed.

Well I ask this because....I want to know if I should open a joint account.

We have joint and separate finances.  It is a big topic in our marriage but not something we'd ever let get between us

No. We've had a joint account since high school

We have separate accounts we use, but I have access to both. He does too but never even activated the card to my account. He originally thought we were moving everything to my bank but he never went to the trouble to change his direct deposit or other stuff. I run things through his account whenever I want. We use my account for the mortgage. He never looks at balances or anything so it really isn't like we separate our money.
