My boyfriend, and the love of my life proposed to me last weekend! Our kids are super happy. This will be my first marriage, and his second. (I'm 33, he's 35). We have two girls each. Both his and my kids fully support our getting married. We've decided to marry in March of 2015. I couldn't be happier!!! Here's my ring. :)
Edit: Ok, so lets hear your proposal stories! Mine was simple and sweet. He waited until we had his two girls for the weekend and he proposed to me in our living room in front of all four of our girls. He had his oldest take pics, and then there were happy tears and several group hugs. It was perfect. I enjoy the very simple things in life, and that is exactly how I'd have wanted it. He did good.
Edit 2: My ring is real silver, but CZ stones, that sparkle so much more than my camera can capture. The value of my ring is based on the LOVE of the man who gave it to me, not the amount of money he spent on it. That actually can't even be measured! I think it's GORGEOUS, real or not. We talked about rings before he proposed and I refused to wear a real one. I don't trust myself enough to not lose something so expensive. lol. I'm too down to earth and not vain in the least, to care about what kind of ring I'd have gotten. I'd have worn a gumball ring. :) I just wanted it to LOOK like an engagement ring. We got him a matching wedding band with the same style cut (that you see in the actual band of mine here). They are perfect!
